Tawna Walden
I attended HCJC/TVCC and TAMU-Commerce @ Navarro.
I have a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and my certification is Early Childhood through 4th grade.
I am so blessed to be teaching here at Malakoff Elementary. I love my school family and especially my second grade team. I completed my student teaching here, taught music for 3 ½ years, and this is my 11th year to teach math and science. I have always loved math and solving mathematical equations. I hope to grow my students’ love for the same!
I am also very excited to be working with the girls in the drill team at Malakoff High School. The Golden Belles are new to our district! I hope you all show your support to these girls as they are working hard to bring you school spirit and high quality performances on the field.
I have been married to my sweetie a long time and we go to church at 3:16 Church in Athens. We adjusted to an empty nest over the last few years. Although it took a while, I think I’m liking it pretty well now.
We enjoy camping in our RV and going hiking, biking and kayaking. I live in the country and really enjoy the wildlife that hang out. I bought my dream car about a year ago and her name is Windy. She’s a triple yellow mustang convertible that I wanted my whole life. Zoom Zoom!
