Classroom Discipline

classroom  Classroom Discipline

I firmly believe life-long success depends on self-discipline.  This discipline plan allows students to manage their own behavior.  Every student in the class deserves to have the best learning environment possible.  Therefore, this discipline plan will be in effect at all times.  Please read and discuss this plan with your child.

Classroom Rules:

  • Raise your hand for permission to talk or get out of your seat
  • Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself
  • Respect the feelings and property of others
  • Listen carefully and follow directions
  • Finish your work/homework on time and participate in class

Consequences:

Students who break the rule may lose classroom or playground privileges and conduct marks. Students will be sent to the office for repeated or severe violations. Students may automatically receive N or U in conduct for an office visit. Please sign your child’s behavior chart daily.

*Students are required to do homework.  If homework isn’t completed and turned in at the beginning of class, students will lose recess privileges.

*Failure to do homework will result in loss of conduct marks.

*Conduct marks are cumulative over a six-week period.

Good Conduct:

Excellence-Up to 1 conduct mark

Satisfactory-2-4 conduct marks

Needs Improvement-5 conduct marks

Unsatisfactory-6 or more conduct marks; severe violations
