2022-23 COVID Protocal

MALAKOFF ISD COVID PROTOCOL

 

STAFF/STUDENTS

School systems must exclude students or staff who have a confirmed COVID-19 positive test from attending school in person. Campus nurses will notify parents if a student exhibits symptoms of COVID while on campus.  Exclusion from campus shall continue until the conditions for re-entry are met:

Positive COVID test with symptoms

  • Individuals that have tested positive and experienced symptoms must be absent at least 5 days (onset of symptoms is day zero), have remained fever free and their other symptoms have improved

Positive COVID test – asymptomatic 

  • Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 but do not have any symptoms must stay home until at least 5 days after the day they were tested. (If onset of symptoms arise, the 5 day quarantine period will start over.)

COVID TESTING

  • COVID testing is available for both students and staff in the nurses’ offices on every campus at no charge

  • Contact your campus nurse to schedule an appointment for testing
