Grading Procedures for 2nd Grade

• Assignments are to be turned in on time. If an assignment is not turned in on time, I will give the student 3 days to turn it in with a 5 point penalty for each day late. After the third day, your child could receive a zero on the assignment and will not be allowed to correct the assignment for a 70.

• Any failing paper(a grade below 70) can be corrected and have the failing grade replaced with a grade of no more than a 70 in the grade book. Students will be given one opportunity to correct the failing assignment. I will NOT ask your child to make corrections. He/she will have to be responsible and ask to correct the paper during school hours. Corrections may not be made after an assignment is sent home. It is also his/her responsibility to TURN the paper back in to the teacher to be re-graded. Corrections can only be turned in THREE days from the date the paper was returned. Any paper turned in after that date will NOT be accepted and the original grade will remain.

• Tests and Benchmarks may not be corrected.
